Toyota Land Cruiser 80 series 4500 Petrol 1996.

Already installed are an ARB front bumper with 9000lb winch and KC spotlights, Safari snorkel, dual battery system, OME shocks and springs, long range fuel tank 33 x 12.5 x 15 Goodyear Wrangler mud tires, custom made steel rear bumper with sparewheel holder. Inside we have a custom drawer system in the loadbay with Engel 40Lt fridge and 50Lt water tank, canvas seat covers and Garmin 176 GPS. On top are load bars which take either a roof-rack or a roof-top tent.

Planned additions include front and rear air-lockers when the budget (wife) allows!!

Living in Cape Town, South Africa, we have access to many mountain trails where the terrain is rocky, loose shale or plain gravel. There are stunningly beautiful views from these mountain tops, some of which carry snow in winter. We also have many sand dunes for playing! I really like to tour the bushveld and semi-arid areas of Botswana and Namibia on Overlander type trips for game viewing with the family.

The Toyota Land Cruiser with the right
suspension, the right tires and all that power must be as close as one
can get to the ultimate offroad vehicle for South African conditions.
I'm so pleased that I have one.

I really enjoy seeing real 4WD
vehicles in real situations where they are needed. There
are so many highway bound posers that never go off the
pavement here that seeing life or death 4 wheeling in
Iceland is really refreshing.
