A Note From The Editor

The forums are slowly growing. There are now 51 registered members on the forum and they have written 122  posts on 54 topics. Head on over to the 4x4 Off Road Forum - read what others are saying and share your stories. I would appreciate your help in starting the ball rolling - so just go to the forums and find some interesting posts to comment on.

There have been a few spam robots posting. As soon as I see something like that, they are zapped, with IP banning and the posts deleted. The PHPBB that runs the forums are a little bit more complicated to control than the WordPress that I use for my blog (thrandur.net). I just try and learn as I go. If you have some hints how to best fight the spammers I would be glad if you made a post about it on the forum:

	Garmin Nüvi 710 GPS Review The Garmin Nüvi 7xx line is currently the top of the line in the Nüvi line of GPS systems from Garmin. I got the opportunity to give it a real world test on a recent tour around Iceland. When you open the box you see the Nüvi itself of course and a tiny booklet with all the instructions you need.
	Transylvania Adventure Trophy Like every year, off road lovers from all over Europe gathered in the Romanian city of Deva, in the western part of the Transylvania Plateau to take part in one of the most prestigious competitions of the year. The competition spirit was left aside in favor of a more friendly, fairplay relationship between contestants.
	The Cluj Cup Between 7 and 10 of August 2008, Transylvania Off Road Club organised the sixth stage of the National Championship in the Baisorii Mountain resort. The Cluj Cup is, as are all the competitions in the race calendar, a Trophy/Trial competition.
	Mt. Disappointment - Australia Michael had a great trip to Mt. Disappointment last weekend. It was eventful and fun. Numerous deep bog holes had them in and out of the vehicles checking the depth. Most, although deep, had firm bases and didn't present to much difficulty.
