A Note From The Editor

We are experiencing strange times in the economic world. What started out in the US has spread all over and even all the way up to Iceland. The Icelandic government has set special law to take control in the financial market.

Whatever your situation, I wish you all the best in these trying times.

The good news is that the 4x4OffRoads.com web site is more popular than ever. Last month an average of 9000 daily guests enjoyed the pictures and articles or used our services in other ways. Big companies and banks can falter and fall but the small and agile will bloom. And what is most important is that individuals will survive.

The forums continue to grow. There are now 67 registered members on the forum and they have written 138  posts on 63 topics. Head on over to the 4x4 Off Road Forum - read what others are saying and share your stories. I would appreciate your help in starting the ball rolling - so just go to the forums and find some interesting posts to comment on or write about something you think other 4 wheelers will like..

The Icelandic 4x4 Club started 25 years ago. To celebrate this they are doing a big exhibition next weekend. The show will include more than 120 trucks, spanning every brand and giving a good cross section of what Iceland off roaders have been using and how they have modified their vehicles.

The third Formula Off Road Icelandic Championship 2008 is at Blonduos in the north-west part of Iceland. The weather is much better than last year with less wind and therefore less dust.

During the Iceland Adventure 2008 tour we were offered to try real ATV riding. The ATV 4x4 company offers tours from half an hour up to several days. This is the first time I have really got excited about ATV riding!

Already there are a number of nice trucks up. My plan is to make these pages high-quality and accessible and I need your help in doing so. Almost all 4x4's are unique and I am sure yours is in some way. Share your experience and allow the rest of the 4 wheeling world to see your truck and how it is used...

Take some time in describing your 4x4 and how you enjoy it. Use as many words as needed. As more rigs are added I get more picky - choosing only the most interesting rigs with lots of information and an unusual story.
