i am not a ford person , that aside == if you put a set of ford 9" drive axles,modify one for the front,,,a divorced transfer case made by dana,shaft it to a 4 speed manual trany,build a good power plant for off road not speed , build it into the frame of your choice add the body of your liking , lift if ,get good tires,good suspension for your appliation,install lockers, heavy duty clutch,custom built drive shafts heavy for off road abuse,build the rest the way u want it cage , skid plates ect!!!!! you now have the most bullet proof 4x4 a person can build,....hint you can use 3/4 ton diffs if you want but it will take alot of dollars to make them perform like a ford 9", ford,dodge,chev,gmc,toyota,,,ect do not make a good 4x4 , if you want real 4x4 buy jeep--land rover- these people invented 4x4,,,the other thing you can do is use all military drive train built into your rig,they dont make very good daily drivers after that,,military drive train parts are by far the strongest,hummer ya but not the ones you buy from the car dealer ship they are no better than any thing else you need a military hummer or you have what everyone else has,cause a military hummer has 5 transfer cases my POINT is want it good you will have to build it you cant buy a strong 4x4 you can only buy a good 4x4 , these are my thoughts anyway ,all your stories rock ,all your rigs are awsome keep it coming i love to read it amd look at it,,,,,ROCK ON ALL YOU 4X4 PEOPLE,it is true fun cause we build it, we break it,we take it home and make it better, and we go out and do it all over again and again and again

I really enjoy seeing real 4WD vehicles in real situations where they are needed. There are so many highway bound posers that never go off the pavement here that seeing life or death 4 wheeling in Iceland is really refreshing.

The whole 4x4 thing is new to me so i have a lot to catch up on, i am going to get involved in a 4x4 club here in Varna as there are vast amounts of tracks and mountains to explore the news letter is boss:) and i especially like to look at readers rigs
