My 4x4 Space
You know - for months I have been asked to provide "space" to collect ideas and
opinions from readers of 4x4OffRoads.com...
...well now it's here: My 4x4 Space is made just for you!
Here is how it works:
- Find the correct space to submit your tidbit
- See if anybody else has already posted about something similar - then
you can make your comments there and even rate the article...
- ...else you simply start a new subject by filling out the
friendly form
Yeah - you guessed correctly - this is Web 2.0 in action.
The goal is for this section to grow and become a valuable resource
for you as time passes and more and more is added. Building a virtual
community on the web.
Now is YOUR chance to join in and let your voice be heard !
My 4x4 Space
The best way to get a feel for real 4 wheeling action is to watch some live
action on video. Here is your opportunity to share. Just make sure you tell us exactly
why you like about the particular video and remember to be as specific as you can.
One of the most popular debates you hear when you listen to 4 wheelers talk is "X is the
best brand of 4x4s" or "The Z brand is the rock bottom" - and some a lot worse!
4x4 projects range from simple tire enlargements to major overhaul and rebuilds.
Every project has its lessons learned, setbacks and hopefully success in the end.
Countless hours and thorough planning results in a thing of beauty and a considerably
more useful off road vehicle.
You've seen them - you've tried them - and they have saved you again and again - or even just once.
It's the most important 4x4 tip or the most trivial off-roading trick that everybody should know. Now is
the time to tell us the gory story. Don't be shy. This could quickly turn into a valuable resource.
Those big rubber 4x4 tires. How do you choose which to use? What is your experience with
them? Those tires are so vital to successful off roading. With the proper grip and flotation
the right tires can make you fly through unbelievably tough terrain.Naturally fitting such big tires
takes a good deal of modifications - but that just adds to the fun :)
My Off Road Space
You go on off road tours to see new places and gather new experience. The places you
visit give others a reason to follow in your footsteps. There are so many wonderful off road
trails that hardly anybody uses.
Off road events are taking place everywhere and all over. Maybe you are
going to an off road event and maybe - just maybe - I may find it interesting also.
If there is a fun event coming up, I know a lot of people will want to know about it.
If you or your club have organized a special get-together don't be shy: Let us know
about it right here and now!
What do you care about environmental issues? As a responsible 4 wheeler you should follow
the tread lightly pledge. Make no harm to sensitive vegetation or geographical formations. Leaving
the area behind you better than when you came.
You have a broad selection of off road equipment you can decide to take along for your next tour.
Some are small and light and some are big and heavy. Some are cheap and for some you have to dig deep in
your pockets to find the cash.
Getting stuck is a part of the fun of 4 wheeling. Of course the situations vary and things
can really get out of hand and become dangerous. When you get an unusual stuck, please share it!
- and how you got out safely. It may be informative for others in the 4x4 and off road community.

I really enjoy seeing real 4WD
vehicles in real situations where they are needed. There
are so many highway bound posers that never go off the
pavement here that seeing life or death 4 wheeling in
Iceland is really refreshing.
