    Description

1998 Jeep XJ 4.0L 1998 XJeep 4.0L Most everyone starts out with a bone stock rig and so far I'm much the same as I was when I bought it just last fall. I have however been doing a lot of research and am in the process of planning out the build. I want a total of 6"'s of lift (Rock Krawler, Teraflex, Daystar, OME) and a maximum tire size of 33"'s (BFG AT's 33x9.5). My goal is to keep the Jeep drivable on the highway, but still have fun off road and be able to tackle difficult terrain when needed. I'm planning on keeping stock axles with 4.10:1 gears and ARB air lockers front and rear (Dana 30 & Chrys.8.25). Also keeping stock alloy rims(15x7)for now. I will have a winch up front on an ARB Bull Bar and some IPF RV lights for the dark nights. Carry Hi-Lift and a safe supply of recovery gear, not just for myself, but for those unfortunate people I may come across in need of help. I want to be able to rescue others without putting myself at risk. This is a long term plan that I am picking away at and have not even grazed the entirety. Is that a word? I wheel in South East Ontario Canada, around the Loyalist township and surrounding area. The trails usually consist of logging routes, polelines with a bit of everything, mud, rivers, dirt, hills, rocks, tree stumps...It's definitely an all terrain vehicle.   SeanCanada
