Chevrolet comes from a bit different direction. It's origins can be traced to trucks first made in 1947. It was only later that 4 wheel drive was introduced in a Chevy. Popular models include the Blazer and the line of pickup trucks.
Chevy and GMC are manufactured in the same models.

1987 Chevy Silverado V-10
Billy's back yard is in Dunbarton, NH we he got bored one day and had no place to go wheelin' so they made a place. He got his stock Chevy Silverado out of a junkyard, then found a junk truck for $150 with a six inch lift and put it in his truck and took the tires off of the other truck. |

1964 Chevy Short Bed Jesse Jaynes loves the snow. His short bed Chevy seems to love the snow also and runs on a set of 38" radial Cepek's. |

1985 Chevrolet K5 Blazer Steven goes wheeling on his Blazer to Hogg Mountain, Fox Creek (Tallapoosa River), and LOTS of dirt roads. They mostly ride dirt roads but sometimes they Dig in the mud. |

1990 Chevrolet Suburban 46" Todd takes his cool Suburban to the Cascade mountain range in southern Washington State. He does almost all of his wheeling trips in the winter so snow is all this truck really sees. In fact it has developed over the years into quite a capable mountain rig. |

Chevy p/u Adam takes his 65 Chevy pickup wheeling mostly in the Ozarks - with lots of mud, rocks and hills. It is rebuilt with a frame off restore, 6 1/2in lift, 38in tires, 427ci big block and a 4 speed manual. |

1999 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 4x4 Cole absolutely loves this Tahoe truck even though he's only had it for about a month. He is 16 years old and just saw this truck sitting on the side of a road with a for sale sign.. And it said $6,000... Cole's and his dad's eyes widened. That was unbelievable! |

1976 Chevy Blazer 4x4 Greg just got this Blazer from his gunnery sergeant (USMC) 3 months ago. He traded him his 95 Firebird. To protect his Blazer from all the trees Greg runs over he painted the sides and back with a military grade rinoliner that's tough as rock. |

Suburban 4x4 Dave from Illinois wheels anywhere he can. "The lift was just completed in April so I haven't had a chance to wheel the truck a whole lot yet. Here in Illinois you mostly have mud, but you can find some good wooded trails with hills and mud holes if you are lucky enough to know someone that will let you have fun on their property." |

Have rebuild the 6.2 diesel engine, the TH 350 auto and the rear 10 bolt axle. Warn 9000 winch with multimount system. CB radio. Garmin Gps and laptop with map. |

Chevy k1500 4x4 luxury
sport 1995 I put a 3 inch lift on it to clear 33" Goodyear mt/ron 8x15 rims. It has a pioneer stereo system. I rebuilt the transfer and the tranny added a K&N air filter. I use 8.8 mm plug wires with a blaster coil and Bosch platinum+4 plugs to give it that extra power. |

Chevrolet Tahoe - Used 4x4 SUVs The Chevy Tahoe should be large enough for most people. It is a full size truck with a good strong engine. Although I have not seen many, modifying a Tahoe should prove relatively simple. The Z71 Off-roads package can be a good start! |

Chevrolet Suburban - Used 4x4 SUVs The Chevy Suburban is the Tahoe's big brother. Although it is a bit too heavy for my purposes this is a capable truck, especially on 44 in. tires. The Tahoe and the Sub are both also available with a strong 6.5 Turbo Diesel engine. |
