    Description

    by Joseki
    (Phoenix)

    Just bought

    Loved the jeep handles

    And here we are

Bought a 1990 suburban as a birthday present last year. It was a real dog with fleas. Have exterminated most of the fleas and more cash than
I am truly at a loss as to what to do with the paintjob. I would prefer to avoid just painting I care to think about later I'm starting on the body.
Paint it one color? I would love to hear suggestions.

Also is there a real purpose to modifying the shocks on this? I can't see as where I would gain anything with a softer or harder ride. I would love to hear your input.

    Hi Joseki!

As long as you are happy with the current suspension you can just keep the current setup :)

If you are thinking bigger wheels and lift. You can consider airbags or coils at least for the rear...

    All the best,

    monster burban NEW
    by: Anonymous

I love these trucks, that body style was always the best for burbans...I've seen a couple of these around here in texas but the burban ill never forget I saw at a truck pull in the north east, this thing was a monster, it was flat black 10 in suspention lift and some 40 in tsl's it was an eye catch but not because it was big but because this guy chopped the back off alittle past the back door and cutom welded a seriouse cage to replace it that held a fuel cell and 2 extra tires, and a winch the way this cage was made gave it a serious mean look esp with the stinger on the front too, that's extream I ain't sayin go that far with it, but whatever you do to yours it'll look bad ass, just aslong as you don't put spinners or big chrome rims on it, that's a sin I'm sorry

    Hi Jo!
You have to make a new page first with the pictures of the shocks.

Then you can add a comment with the link...

    All the best,

A Jeep Rescue Unit... LOL Thats just cold I love it.

I don't mind the ride but (and I know this is shallow) I just don't like the look. I'll try to get a pic and post it. Currently they are just some longer shocks with yellow tubing over the extension. To my eye it just doesn't look quality.

    4 door Suburban Paint
    by: CAPT

Being a survivor in the Arizona Climate helped save the body! As for ideas, when you are out "Wheel'n" with your buddies, it would make an excellent "Support Unit".

Our bunch has an old US Forestry Surplus 4x4 Ford Van that we use. It carries all the supplies to set up our Trail Day Camp & Field Repair Station.

We have yet to paint our unit, (to hide that Fuggly teal green the forestry has)one idea is
ALL White (abulance) and the other is Olive Drab (MASH Unit), Both would have a Large Red Cross on all sides and on the horizontal bar of the red cross it will be lettered......
    "Jeep Rescue Unit"

Just here ta help; Dat displaced Yooper, CAPT
