Before ordering fender flares or any other part for your North American '95 Toyota truck, be sure you know the correct model name.
Back in 1995, Toyota released the first truck ever to be known as
the "Tacoma" in the US and Canada. This would replace the older
truck that was known simply as the "Pick Up". But Toyota obviously
hadn't finished selling all the old generation Pick Up's that were
made since 1989. So in 1995, Toyota was still selling the
unimaginatively-named Pick Up, as well as its replacement, the
Tacoma.

If you have a 1995 midsize Toyota pick up truck, it could be either
a Tacoma or simply a Pick Up, and to make things more confusing,
they even offered a T100 pick up in 1995. The T100 was in a
different line-up though. It was their first try at making a
full-size truck although it was considered more of a 3/4 size as it
was quite a bit smaller than any other full size trucks on the
market like the Dodge Ram, Ford F150, or the Chevrolet/GMC 1500's.
Since the name of the Pick Up made from 1989-1995 was so
boring and didn't sound like a real model name, but more of a
vehicle type, many people later started to incorrectly call them
Tacoma's.
If ordering parts for this 89-94 Pick Up and its mistakenly called a Tacoma, it shouldn't be much trouble as the parts counter will indicate that there was no such beast as a Tacoma before 1995. But if you have a 1995 Pick Up, but its confused with a 1995 Tacoma, then you will likely have some trouble as the Tacoma that was released in 1995 was totally redesigned from the ground up. There will be very few parts on these two 4x4s made in the same year that would be interchangeable.
When ordering parts for your Toyota truck, be sure to have the model name correct. As you can see in our photo gallery, the fender flares for these two models are completely different as these two models have completely different body panels. Feel free to use these photos for reference to clarify which model you have. Also, keep in mind that the Tacoma had a face lift in 2001 so the grill and lights can vary within the 95-04 generation.
Happy Trails!

I really enjoy seeing real 4WD
vehicles in real situations where they are needed. There
are so many highway bound posers that never go off the
pavement here that seeing life or death 4 wheeling in
Iceland is really refreshing.
