74 Ford F series

So far I only have a few items to get me to the mountain trails. Carb, Exhaust, and gears. Can't wait to paint this one for some attention. It's gonna have 2 American flags covering the metal. I paint cars and airbrush so it will be fun getting it some color. Hence the red drive train I have shortened this one up by 32" for some serious approach angles and some good clearance, however I am trying to keep it low for center of gravity on the steep side ways trails.

I normally hang in the northern Rockies of Co. but used to spend all my weekends in Ca. at the Rubicon. The terrain in Co. is very diverse depending on where you go. Big rocks, muddy pits, and serious views.

Just ordered the 5.38's for the axels to turn these beasts and obviously needed to make some room for them as well. The tires are TSL 44x18.5R15's. Anything smaller looked to small for the truck. I am keeping a complete photo album of the truck as I go with hopes of driving it by Memorial day weekend.

I changed my mind and decided to go with Rockwell axles but with any luck I'll find a set that is reasonably priced.  This will obviously require more work than I had originally planned as well as more time.  I want a truck that doesn't break so I decided to go all out and do it right.  There have been a lot of friends and 4x4 shop owners that have helped me make the right decisions on this project.  Thanks to everyone here in northern Colorado for their support!!  Here are a couple pictures to choose from.  Let me know if I will find one on your site.  I'd love to tell some friends about it.
