Come June, a group of 4X4 enthusiasts will begin a rally that will be an ambitious expedition covering 6 countries in 10 days. The H4H European Rally is currently the talk of the UK 4X4 circuit. Though it is a non-speed rally, nearly 45 teams are expected to get their adrenaline rush from exploring a route steeped in history.

The rally will cover about 2,640 kilometres, beginning at an undisclosed location somewhere in North Wiltshire and ending in Berchtesgaden in Germany. The idea is to relive the heroic journey undertaken by the brave heroes of the Allied Invasion, whose mission to liberate Europe during the Second World War began in June 1944. Apart from Normandy, the H4H European Rally will wind its way through Arnhem in Holland, where, in September of 1944, the Rhine Offensive was launched. Thousands of paratroopers were dropped in the largest airborne operation ever, 150 kilometres behind enemy lines. Enthusiasts of the Band of Brothers book and TV series will find some of the locations through which the rally passes very familiar. 4X4s of all makes are eligible to participate in the H4H rally. This expedition will not only have a lot of history and competition, it will also involve some skills in manoeuvring the 4X4 during off-road driving. It will also be a great chance to meet other 4X4 enthusiasts.
