My 2 late uncles were loggers in northern Wisconsin & the U.P. of Michigan, and had a bag full of tricks to "Get You Out of the Woods" on the spot repairs.
And Here is the Rescipe for Cow Pie Stop Leak:
1st you have to find a well seasoned (dried out) field fresh cow pie.
(NOT NEAR A FARM PASTURE YA, SAY?!)
Substitute with seasoned Elk, Deer, Buffalo, Mountain Goat, or Sheep doo-doo.
Any water supply to refill your lost coolant; Ditch Water, stream, Mud puddle, etc.
HERE IS THE FUN PART! (And why you want a well seasoned cow pie)
After your system has cooled some, with a rag open the radiator cap,
Now in your hands Crumble to a fine texture your seasoned cow pie into the RADIATOR NECK, NOT AT OVER FLOW OR RESERVE TANK.
START engine and run at idle adding water to taste.
DO NOT BRING TO A BOIL!
After engine is at operating temp. top off coolant at radiator, install cap to FIRST CLICK, NOT TIGHT, and you should be able to get back to make full repairs. Just flush out your system good.
I have used this rescipe and have finished a whole day of off roading after a stick went through my radiator.

Sounds like an interesting idea :)
Could be a bit smelly!
All the best,

I really enjoy seeing real 4WD
vehicles in real situations where they are needed. There
are so many highway bound posers that never go off the
pavement here that seeing life or death 4 wheeling in
Iceland is really refreshing.
