Finn Erik Löberg in Racerunner

Leó Viðar Björnsson in IronMaiden
The Competition in Unlimited class was even and fierce, not the least because some of the tracks were fairly easy which meant that most of the drivers were scoring rather high. The outcome of the race became only clear in the last track. The Main competition was between the Icelander, Gunnar Gunnarsson, driving Trúðurinn (The Clown) and Finn Erik Löberg from Norway, driving Racerunner. Löberg was leading the World Cup after the race with 22 points after having competed in three rounds. Gunnar has 10 points after one event. Leó Viðar Björnsson from Iceland, driving IronMaiden was third.

Daniel G. Ingimundarson burnt a hole in two pistons in his race car, The green Thunder but managed to finish the race in tenth place. Daniel and his assistants spent all night in the gravel pit in Skien, rebuilding the engine, putting new rods and pistons in the block. I didn’t come here to watch, said Daniel determined to participate in the fourth round.

Tomas Nyholm from Finland, driving Suzuki

Mika Valkonen in Commando
The main competition in Modifies Standard was between The Princess of Formula Off Road, Sofia Scholin-Borg from Sweden driving Affe and Tomas Nyholm from Finland, driving Suzuki. In this race, it was Tomas Nyholm who came first and Sofia Scholin-Borg was second. In spite of this Sofia was leading the World Cup in Modified Standard after the race in Skien since she won the first two rounds that took place in Kangasala, Finland last August. All of the guys try to have the most powerful engines under the hood but I use my head, said Sofia Schollin-Borg who is one hell of a driver.
