I am getting into the snow wheeling and love it, I have a 1992 Toyota 4runner/surf.
It has 35" tires but am now planning for 44" tires.
i was thinking on getting the Super Swamper Bogger but have noticed that many of you guys use the Dick Cepek tire.
It looks like it doesn't have a lot of grip like the Bogger but there must be a reason for using them.
Can you tell me why this is a popular tire?
What kind of tires do you use on your truck?
Thank you very much
------SIDEBAR------
Hi Steve!
The reason for the Dick Cepek tire is because they are light and flexible and are able to give great flotation. Having LESS grip is often better to stay afloat since there is less risk of breaking the top shell of the snow.
I am currently running 38 inch Monster Mudders on my Sport Trac - also used Ground Hawk IIs for a while.
All the best,
Thrandur

I really enjoy seeing real 4WD
vehicles in real situations where they are needed. There
are so many highway bound posers that never go off the
pavement here that seeing life or death 4 wheeling in
Iceland is really refreshing.
