Tough guys on a Toyota
I know Jeeps are great, and Hummers are great, and Chev's and Fords are super, and Land Rover do really well. But for me and most of the planet...Toyota builds the best.
I have had 2. An '82 shortbox 4x4 and a '90 4runner (both rusty) But no matter what I did to them... they start every morning.
BBC's Top Gear did a special on the Hilux. They tried several ways to kill on. Put in the ocean, lit it on fire, blew it up. Still started. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tom3OUKDM9I and see for your self.
Okay, Toyota's rust..badly. I have rear quarter panels that you can break apart with your hand. But my running gear is tough, even in stock form.
Toyota = tough and I think ...best

I really enjoy seeing real 4WD
vehicles in real situations where they are needed. There
are so many highway bound posers that never go off the
pavement here that seeing life or death 4 wheeling in
Iceland is really refreshing.

It is fun to read about other people's
Offroading adventures and also learning from the up and downs of
their adventure!
