1992 Mercedes-Benz 300GD G-Wagen 5-door station wagon, automatic diesel.

Very few major modifications, as it has
everything I need as standard, except the 235/85R16 BFG Mud Terrains on
the standard 16x6in. alloys which I added.
Could do with more power at times, especially on motorways, so I'm
giving that some thought.
I go wheeling in Salisbury Plain, green lanes. Mainly mud in the winter.
G-Wagens are fairly rare in UK, but more and more people are coming to realise how good they are. Once you have had a "G", you don't want anything else, except, perhaps, a Pinzgauer, but I test-drive them for a living anyway.
It's the supreme engineering of the G-Wagen that appeals to me
4x4OffRoads.com is pretty good as it is. The forum sounds good. I do appreciate all the hard work you put into the site and newsletter. I used to be Tech Editor of Off Road & 4 Wheel Drive magazine, many years ago, and Land Rover Owner for a while too, so I know how difficult it can be to keep on producing material.
Congratulations on a job very well done.

I really enjoy seeing real 4WD
vehicles in real situations where they are needed. There
are so many highway bound posers that never go off the
pavement here that seeing life or death 4 wheeling in
Iceland is really refreshing.
