Icelandic Championship

The sixth and final Formula Off Road Icelandic Championship 2009 is at Kollafjordur just north of Reykjavik. Like yesterday the race is also a part of the Nordic Cup. The tracks are a bit different this time although the place is the same.

Unlimited Class

Crossing the lake is the first track.

Jon Orn Ingileifsson on the Choireboy is the first truck in the unlimited class.

His driving is convincing throughout the race and he gets a well deserved first place.

Hafsteinn Thorvaldsson on the Turf.

Hafsteinn as yesterday's winner gives all he can the result is only the sixth place.

 

Bjorn Bragi on Skjalfti crossing the lake.

The last track is close to impossible with the almost vertical climb.

Bjorn still does pretty good and ends up in fourth place.

Sigurdur Thor Jonsson on the Troll with a nice reflection on the water.

Sigurdur shows he has not forgotten anything and ends up in second place.

Hlynur B. Sigurdsson in his Hilux does well today although he only runs a small 6 cylinder engine.
